George was very meticulous with his playing on the album version of his songs, as all of the Beatles were. It was all about the song with them, not virtuoso playing. However, I wish George would've let it rip more in the studio like he does here.

Excellent playing. Slide guitar is extremely difficult. Slide guitar in standard tuning, as George is doing here, is even harder. Even the great Buddy Guy admitted he found it so difficult, he decided not to pursue it.

Just plain wonderful. Harrison wrote some dire stuff post-Beatles but it was more than outweighed by a number of stand out compositions which are as good or even better than Lennon or MacCartney produced, imho. This is one of them.

I began to realize in the last few years of looking and listening to George, that he is the best slide guitar player I've ever heard. This song in particular is so much better live, with him just punching it out.
