I remember the RCA Victor version that was a tad less country. Also, I believe it was the A side. The B side was "Where Nobody Knows Me."

Well I heard that after Rose/Baby Ruth made it big, Mr Hamilton was able to give up his bootlegging business

More original than the later, toned - down lyrics on the RCA 45 or the old video. A true Rockabilly classic!

I recorded this and the flip side on a reel-to-reel recorder in 1957. We had two things to keep us occupied that summer, make it 3, the pool, the movies and sock hops.. We'd have a hop at our house and we'd keep the records other kids brought till noon the next day so we could record them. Also Dungaree Doll by Eddie Fisher and Teenage Crush by Tommy Sands. Never got to find a copy of these. Once I paid $11 for a copy of "Gone" by Ferlin Husky so I could get the flip side "Missing Persons"!
