Genius counterpoint music. It turns in on itself, and the listener gets the opposite effect, that of swirling expansion like the wings of the milky way galaxy, Anything that can be imagined is subject to the whorl of stars sweeping outward in spiral arms.

Not even.although i like most of the music of the bands you mentioned gentle giants song writing and musicanship blows away any band and they were (are) the most criminally greatest most underated ever.

I love them too but I think that Van Der Graaf Generator is an even more underrated band in history and Renaissance..

Agree with you 110 % They are the greatest most criminally underated band of all time/Unfortunately i never got to see them live because i was just being turned onto them right after they broke up in 1980.-Dammit it all i need a time machine.

I was em in 1976 and they were light years ahead of everybody else so far ahead that many didn't get it , and so they only had a small cult like following. the good part was, when I saw em it was in small venues, so I was right there, almost everybody was, and it was really great...

A great band, with great songs. If you want to hear an amazing record, track down IN A GLASS HOUSE. Unforgettable!

Listen to the 'o' bands, 'a smile is diamond'. That'll bring back some of that mid-seventies spirit that you yearn for!

i wish this song would have played day and night in 1976 when i needed it. Still...even though...I found it too much later than i want to explain....I love it. Why? It makes more of the ocassion of what I should have heard on the radio in late 1975 and early 1976. Love you guys.

The whole band was light years ahead of its time but the keyboard player is really a master. If you listen to this whole album with headphones its a trip. The mix is British sound craftsmanship at its best. Worlds best mics. In "I'll play the game" kerry rocks almost every keyboard available at that time with precision. Moog-Mellotron-Spinet-Rhodes-Grand-B3 with the best B3 solo ever. On and on. Disgracefully underrated. Amen to that brother.
