Yes (pun intended...)! Echolyn have been around for 20+ years, Änglagård (I misspelt them in my previous comment) only have 3 studio recordings but they're of the highest calibre, the others one each. Just check Progarchives, it's full of bands from all over the world with lots of audio samples

If they did they'd probably never become 'idols'... These days there are soooo many talented groups that go unnoticed or are confined to cult status: Echolyn, Ängalgård, Sanhedrin, Tempio delle Clessidre, Diagonal, just to name a few.
