The black light shining on the day glow around the eyes along with the silhouette of bat wings and a still figure wearing some kind of cloak really does create a menacing effect...even today. I saw The Musical Box do this and these videos do not do the lighting effect justice. Those eyes were so bright, almost piercing through my soul, it felt. If you get a chance to see The Musical Box, DO NOT miss it. You will regret it forever. They open with this song just like Genesis did and its quite an experience!

Simply majestic. What an amazing piece of footage. Soon to be 40 years old. How I miss those musical times...

When the Mellotron worked, great, really great; when not working, frustrating to say the least! Rick Wakeman literally torched 2 of them (although he says he regrets it now!).

Keep carrying 'the torch', this music is timeless and quality NEVER goes out of style. Steve Wilson has done a fine job of subscribing to and perpetuating this fine genre. He shows genuine respect for the classic nature of Prog Rock at its finest.

Hackett's 'Genesis Revisited' tour is the closest one will come to this beautiful moment caught in time, but nothing will EVER equal the majesty of the original. It is so true: "You can't go home again."

thank you! I'll check the band and song you mentioned! I'm always looking for good music.

zack cast.

hey man there are people my age (20) who still listen to this stuff. and there are still fantastic prog bands out there, its just harder to get famous so you have to search the bands online. you'l like porcupine tree if you havent heard of them already. steve hackett collaborated with the singer on his solo album, and robert fripp appears on the bands newest album. the singer steve wilson even mixed ian anderson's thick as a brick part 2..

you can't forget the short lived ray wilson era that was decent with some good songs.

it can happen again, you may never know. interest from the newer generations might look back in the golden age of music. eventually trends currently standing may fade over time.
