Its absolutely Tony Banks...he refers to this era(not very fondly) as the "time of the wild boars"....

I agree. And it's mind boggling to think they were only 20 then...

@AstroParticle0 (thinks) Possibly, yeah. But it's still more backing vocals than upfront, like his solo parts in Shepherd.

@kamwrites I think Tony also sings on "Silver Rainbow"

@zeldahei I've read about it....As I understand, parts of "The Movement" became "The Musical Box" (one of the greatest songs EVER, IMO) and other songs. More than anything, I want to hear all the material that didn't make it onto Trespass......

@Ghoopty I agree with the whole mystery thing. Have you ever heard about The Movement? It was a 42-minute song they made during this era, and is thought to be lost. Who knows, maybe it will show up someday. Anthony Phillips recently recovered an early version of Patricia. An engineer had fixed a broken tape, and discovered it this August.

Actually this is the only time Tony Banks sings second vocals. Not Anthony Phillips.

I fucking love this era of Genesis......the mystery was there, the material was exquisite & interesting. By Foxtrot they had "found their sound" and consequently lost the mystery.
