Genesis - Supper's Ready - REMASTERED (ending, live 1976) video free download

This is digitally recorded from my In Concert 1976 laserdisc to my hard drive with completely uncompressed video. I used temporal smoothing techniques to remove ugly video noise. I also enhanced the audio digitally.

Obviously, you won't see a real difference watching it on youtube. I plan to re-do the whole laserdisc this way and put it on DVD for the public though. It looks and sounds fantastic before it's put through youtube's compression and resize. Better than the DVD version that comes as a bonus with the new Trick of the Tail re-release.

I wonder if Tony Maylam ever considered or is considering re-releasing this footage without the useless imagery.  After reading years of comments it's pretty safe to say it's universal that everyone would prefer to see the actual concert than the annoying b-roll footage unnecessarily edited in. I think it would be a good business decision to do so.

And it's hey babe, with your guardian eyes so blue, Hey my baby, don't you know our love is true, I've been so far from here, Far from your loving arms, Now I'm back again, and babe it's gonna work out fine. Can't you feel our souls ignite Shedding ever changing colours, in the darkness of the fading night, Like the river joins the ocean, as the germ in a seed grows We have finally been freed to get back home.

I saw this show at the Starlight Bowl in Burbank. "Can't you feel our souls ignite..." sends shivers every time.

Genesis at their best! I wish I could get hold of it! To the person who said this was from Seconds out in Paris... it's not. It's the same tour, but the song is different. Just goes to show what a great band they were.

Genesis at their peak. Cheers.

I've never been able to understand why, after 20 plus minutes, they couldn't work out a proper ending, instead resorting to a fade! Admittedly they reproduce the fade pretty closely live..........nitpicking. That last verse sends shivers up my back.

should have stopped at Gabriel's departure. Spent your time trying to mimic him.

This question has probably already been answered, but just in case it hasn't: the last time SR was played in its entirety was in 1982 as part of the set-list for the Encore Tour. The closing 8 minutes or so was played during the first few shows of the Invisible Touch tour in 1986 before being dropped and replaced by Afterglow.
