Little Nemo rubbed his eyes and got out of bed,

trying hard to piece together a broken dream.

His visions lifelike and full of imagination

it's strange to think they came from such a tiny head.

Dragons breathing fire, but friendly.

Mushrooms tall as houses.

Giant Nymphs and goblins playing,

scenes from a night's dream, poor Little Nemo!

Eating all kinds of food so close to bedtime

they always made him have these nightmares, it seemed.

Helped young Washington in the garden,

cut the cherry tree down.

Now we all know that's not history,

scenes from a night's dream, poor Little Nemo!

"Nemo, get out of bed!"

"Don't tell me stories, I don't want to know!"

"Come on you sleepy head, we're waiting to go!"

Once he went to the 'Carnival of Nations'

dancing with the princess through the night.

Found themselves on a moving platform

ten ton weights above them,

seeking audience with King Morpheus.

Scenes from a night's dream, poor little Nemo!

"Nemo, get out of bed!"

"Don't tell me stories, I don't want to know!"

"Come on you sleepy head, we're waiting to go!"

Well, it's funny: this music is from 1978 but it's so actual... Time didn't destroy the masterwork of this band, inspiring the new generations, just because the thrash that the new "rock" bands produce is meaningless. Thanks Genesis. My favorite band in my 23 years old. Masterpiece.

Sounds like the new mix. My favorite is the 1994 remaster from the original mix. I had the vinyl which was quite muddy sounding, even by 1978 standards. Yeah the late 70s. I love Phil's backing vocal textures and drumming - absolutely fantastic!

It's got a lot of great tracks from beginning to end - this one, "Snowbound", "Many Too Many", "The Lady Lies", "Follow You Follow Me" and "Burning Rope" are my favourites. :)

Fan since 1975, heard the best till they figured out how to make a couple bucks.(like several million plus) Sold out? A lot of people including myself thought so. But go see them in concert if you want to get over that(except they are gone) But they knew prog rock was going the way of disco and, even though they commercialized, they did it with style, grace and humor.(Land of confusion) We miss you Chester, Daryl, Mike, The Tony!, and that bald guy that sings, what's his name again?

lil bit of info for people :) for a long time i never knew who 'king morpheus' was and thought it was a made up person, but turns out that he's actually a greek god of dreams (the eldest of triplets actually, who all represent an aspect of dreams) and the son of hypnos the god of sleep

Shame Phil, Mike and Tony are not fond of this album. Mike said it's the weakest album of all, i tend to disagree 100%

I suggest everyone go find high-quality uploads of the Little Nemo comic strips. They're quite amazing.
