I am admired of the musicality of Bill Bruford. It's amazing how a drummer, who do not usually play with a tonal system, can make this little melodic arrangements like the one from the minute 1:00. I am probably unable to improvise this quality of little melodies playing an harmonic instrument like a guitar or a piano and Bill did it, apart of his amazing ability of... Dum Dudu Tsss!! Duduru duduru! Crash!One of the best songs in Genesis history... the structure, the melodies, the acoustic feeling and the harmonies are simply PERFECT and the Mellotron-Arp outro is outrageously WONDERFUL AND HAUNTING. One of the best highlights of Tony Banks's career... Floating music!

Ok... a question for all you G-heads! Who's operating the bass pedals? Normally it would be Mike, but it obviously isn't in this clip. He's playing 12-string, but his feet are doing nothing. I thought it might be Steve, but it's not clear from this. Any ideas?

Beautiful track; such a pity Tony Banks and Steve Hackett didn't write more together as this is one of the very few pieces where they did. I agree, this was the period when Genesis were at their best. For me, "Trick" and "Wuthering" are the band's best albums by far.....Ray

Phil didn't have to push his voice until the band became more pop. Duke, and on to the other material. He sounds wonderful and Steve, Mike, and Tony were at their best on this live cut. Tony playing mellotron and ARP synth while Steve kept that guitar riff solid and mysterious. Some of us still believe that was when they were at their best.

Pretty cool video! Love watching Tony Banks play acoustic guitar when he normally is behind the keyboards. Then the mellotron at the end. That must have been an awesome show. Sure wish I was into them in 76. Wasnt until the early 80's I got into the G-men. Tick of the Tale, Wind and Wuthering and And Then There Were Three and Duke, is my favorite period of Genesis.
