Leave Ray alone!  He's not trying to sound like Phil Collins or Peter Gabriel.  He's just being Ray Wilson doing the songs His Way!  And doing a damn good job I might add!  I strongly believe that if Mike & Tony had stuck it out with Ray, Genesis would still be touring today!  Well they didn't stop being pricks until they got Phil back, but they shot themselves in the foot because Phil Collins is RETIRED!  They should have known a band that had been out of action for five years couldn't just debut at the top.  Especially with a new frontman.  Well Ray is doing very well for himself now, but where is Genesis?  That's what Mike & Tony get for being greedy materialistic pricks!

Struemer and Thompson demanded to be full time members for record "Callin All Stations" and make the tour with Genesis, and then Banks and Rutherford prefer to search other people.

Daryl was with Phil,but not Chester .At that time Phil had Ricky Lawson as touring drummer.Chester said that he had asked for permanent membership but Tony and mike refused,hence the other drummer was called for.

@pilates68 Ray was an Post Grunge singer,that might be why people didn't think he fitted in Genesis.

I get bringing Ray Wilson to replace Phil Collins, but I never was sure why Banks & Rutherford tried to reconstitute Genesis with Anthony Drennan, and Nir Z. Did they think that younger faces might appeal to a younger audience? Darryl Sturmerer and Chester Thompson well established as Genesis road band. This lineup was just strange to me. Ray Wilson did a decent job, but his oddly vague resemblance to Bono may have been the key to getting the job. No one was buying it. An odd last chapter.
