I love Gene's cover of "I Never Go Around Mirrors", but it's a hard act to follow up to on Freddy Fender's great recording of this song. Gene did it well, but it didn't have the same effect that Freddy's version had on me, there's an old saying in this business!...."be careful of the songs you cover".9 years ago
