On this date in 1961 {May 3rd} Dee Clark performed this song on the late Dick Clark's American Bandstand... Three days earlier on May 1st it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100; eventually it peaked at #2 {for 1 week} and spent 16 weeks in the Top 100... It reached #3 on Billboard's R&B chart... Dee Clark passed away on December 7th, 1990 at the young age of 52... May both Mr. Clarks R.I.P.
