Charted at #1 in 1928. Theme song of the 1928 movie of the same name, starring Dolores Del Rio. The second most popular recording of the year, after Al Jolson's "Sonny Boy". Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra also had a #1 hit with his version of "Ramona" in 1928. Ruth Etting charted at #10 while Scrappy Lambert charted at #18. Charting remakes of "Ramona" include: #12 Billboard Pop for the Gaylords in 1953, #72 Hot 100 for the Blue Diamonds in 1960, #4 UK for the Bachelors in 1964 and #8 Country for Billy Walker in 1968.

Just got it for $0.02 at a local flea market in a big box of records for $5 . unfortunately, the price is so low some words aren't understandable. This version I can make out though. Thanks:-) :-) :-) :-)
