(WITH LYRICS and TRANSLATION) I started loving this marvellous song from movie Baadbaan 1954 (The Mast), sung by Geeta Dutt and Hemant Kumar when I was in high school. This poignant song was written by Indeevar Ji and composed by TIMIR BARAN, S K PAL. May god bless their souls for giving us such a priceless gem.

What a beautiful , nice and appropreate translation of the lyrics, each word is heart touching and penitrates in to the heart I know probabaly that the sweet singing bird Papiha does not take water directly but gets it from rain drops to quinch his thurst after flying into the cloudy sky and adoping opposite its tilting direction opening its mouth in a wish that it will catch water drops.I. e. Why, Peasy Papehe Ne Aas The Baandhi Ud Gae Baadal Aa Gae Aandhi. Thanks a lot for uploading this gem.

SUPERB video creation on a superb song. Hema Malini clips from film 'Meera' and other clips have been suitably placed.This version in Geeta Dutt voice is certainly much more impressive than Lata's version. Congratulations to Mr Mukhtar on his commendable work. A version in Hemant Kumars voice is still awaited from Mukhtar Bhai.
