Best known for his 1983 ballad 'The Wind Beneath My Wings,' Gary Morris has charted with more than twenty five singles on the Billboard Hot Country charts.

'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry' was written by Hank Wiliams in 1949 in reflection of his troubled relationship with his wife, Audrey Sheppard.

The song was ranked at #111 on Rolling Stone's '500 Greatest Songs of All Time' list and has been covered by many artists including B.J. Thomas. Thomas charted with his version of the classic in 1966, at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
