I don't understand your 'Second only to Randy Rhoads' remark, it doesn't make sense. Unless you're talking about your own personal taste - that's a different issue altogether.

Gary Moore did not auditioned for Ozzy. He helpt him find a new guitar player (but he did not find Randy Roads). Gary and Ozzy was on the same record label then. Gary and Ozzy was friends!

Second only to Randy Rhoads. He auditioned for Ozzy Osbourne after Randy died but him and Ozzy HATED each other. I remember Ozzy calling him an, "ugly fucking cunt"! It must have been that British and Irish thing. Gary was a really cool guy. He bought me a beer after a show here in Buffalo and we talked guitars for a while. He actually remembered that he hit me in the eye with a guitar pick in the front row and apologized! LOL
