Most people HATE clowns nowadays. Kramer on Seinfeld was afraid of clowns. Stephen King's "It" was about an evil clown named Pennywise. My favourite is Captain Spalding from House of 1000 corpses and The Devil's Rejects. Funny scene in Devil's Rejects where he knocks out the kid's Mom and tells the crying kid, "What's the matter, don't you like clowns? Don't we make you laugh?" He then threatened to kill the poor kid if he doesn't think of some good stuff to say about clowns!
