I just remember this song. I used to listen to all the time when I was little to help with insecurity issues. Now that I've learned more about myself and the world, this song holds a different meaning to me. I know now that you are exactly what you think you are. Life is all about positivity and positive affirmations and "I am"s. So if you tell yourself you are wonderful, that's exactly what you are.

This song came out when I was just 10 and by the fact that I'm Italian at the time I didn't understand any single word of what he sang and I just used to limit myself to dancing to the notes of this song and making up the lyrics, now I'm almost 17 and I've learned english and I understand the language and sometimes I listen to the same songs that I used to listen when I was a child and I always am surprised because I realize how much they really mean...but this song was the biggest surprise of all!I listened to this song now after a long time and I'm amazed by how much I can relate to the lyrics...when I was a little 10\11 years old girl (not saying that I'm a grown up now) I was always excited, I had "that sparkle in my eyes" and I always had big dreams about future and I felt like the proudest girl in the world about myself and now I wonder where's that girl now, I grew up and maybe I'm more realistic, I'm starting to look out on the world, I'm having my first responsibilities and I'm realizing how tough life is and my life just started to become a big and fast series of events and changes that I often feel under pressure and I can't always have a smile on my face...that's sad! I wish the little girl who I used to be didn't fully disappear and that sometimes she could just jump out of me and remind myself that YES, I'M WONDERFUL AND I'M A MIRACLE AND SO IS MY FAMILY AND MY FRIENDS AND EVERYONE IN THIS WORLD AND THAT LIFE IS AMAZING.I wish I was Peter Pan and that the child that lives in me could be always by my side and never leave me and teach me how to look at things in life with a smile on my face and feel like I am my own hero.The biggest mistake we do is to grow up leaving the child behind because I bet if we looked at life through the eyes of the children that we used to be everything would just become so positive and innocent again and we would feel like we can do everything in this world and we would be able to say "I am wonderful" once again.
