P.s it's such an easy song to play on the drums to by the way!! Why do they make it looked forced??

We all know the Gary glitter story. I'm not here to harp on about it!!! This is such a fantastic song, but the drummers could've learnt the songs by air drums first. As a drummer myself, it's cringing to watch them. I know it's pretend and all, but make it at least in time with the song fellas, and hit the proper sequence of fills to!!!

I'm sure he is, credit should always be given where its due. If Einstein wad diddling kids e=mc2 would still be valid. I doubt there are many musicians who live lives that are in complete agreement with my own views, so its best just to enjoy the music. Never saw Glitter, but I have seen Jett, in fact, I think she was in town (baltimore) today at a festival. Sorry I missed it too.

She tends to use the Glitter Stop on her other songs. It appears that she was heavily influenced by him. I saw Gary Glitter when I was in the Army in Europe. I've seen Joan Jett numerous times. There are similarities in their styles Creepy factor aside, Gary Glitter is an awesome performer. He could work a crowd. I was impressed by his show. I always preferred Joan Jett, and I wouldn't mind touching Joan Jett. I had to go there.

I agree, if anyone was gonna cover it she was more than worthy. Covers don't bother me though, since they always turn me on to the original. Nirvana got me into the meat puppets and David bowie with covers, and the chili peppers got me into p funk. So without covers some of that great music would have never reached a wider audience.

Joan Jett does the Glitter Stomp on par with Gary Glitter.

Polanski fucked a kid. Van Gogh cut off his ear. Friedrich Nietzsche stayed in and fancied his sister. Churchill was a mass murderer, the list goes on and on. I don't understand this mentality of witch hunting someones art or output because of their personal lives... These are the same people who burn books, and we all know what that leads to. Just enjoy what makes sense to your brain.

That's such fucking horseshit. I mean seriously, lets analyse what you have said. Given the same thinking, it means that you should ONLY listen to people who have lived 'perfect' lives. Well what exactly is perfect for a start? Who gets to say? How can we expect to know every aspect of someones life? Does it cover thought crime? If they ever had a bad thought? MJ touched kids. James brown raped his wife at gunpoint. If I listen to these artists, do I condone these things? cont

I agree with @Nate Elliott. I usually prefer the original over a cover, but I don't knock people for doing covers; it really is a form of flattery and especially in this business. I love Gary and Joan's versions both. I don't commend Gary for the nasty things he's done, but I'm not gonna not listen to his songs because of it, yknow??
