I loved their music but something never sat right with me watching Garbage. It seemed that the old blokes had some jaded cynicism about the fact that to make it in the big time they had to employ a pretty young lead singer. I also think that this was no secret among any of them. The situation was not made better by the fact that everyone knew her name but noone else's.
