The jagged guitar in this song is absolutely legendary.

"This is one of the finest albums released in 1979." Loved it back then, and it's still the best punk album I've ever heard. Second best is *Modern Lovers* ("Pablo Picasso" etc.).

On my brief three show stint with Montgomery College's WMCR, I actually played this next to Chic's Dance, Dance, Dance they basically have the same beat which was one of my best segues. I got kicked off the air next show by playing the Dead Kennedy's Moral Majoirty, which after I read the PSA's I said here is another one by the Dead Kennedys, the obscenities is what ended my DJ career.

Not always. They made alternative funk rock more popular than any group before them, and coincidentally, many funk inspired rock groups gained great popularity after BloodSugarSexMagik was released: 311, Primus, Rage Against the Machine, Incubus (they were funky in their early years), Rollins Band and Lenny Kravitz. I don't even like all these bands, but nonetheless, rhcp made funk rock popular in the mainstream.

NOT AN ENDORSEMENT!!!!!!! rhcp have been a grotesque irrelevance for over a decade now (if not always)

There's people near home intimidating - I think musicians I wrote for and my old friends were all afraid of those suckers - I don't know what will happen but about one thing I'm sure: I want FUN :D

Gang of Four is one of Fleas all time favourite bands, so there sure is a connection. He said that they changed how he viewed rock music and inspired him to start playing bass.

You mean RHCP sound like Gang Of Four, and not vice-versa right?

A classic song & way ahead of it's time! As featured in "Cut Limbo", a fast moving, punk crime thriller with lots of very dark humour. Out now on Amazon.

Are you for real? The album is well nigh a work of genius.
