Scott Miller's Game Theory released several albums in the 80's that went sadly unnoticed by the public despite crtical raves. The San Francisco Bay area band's melodic and sometimes experimental pop was not demand in a world of dance music and hair metal.

RIP Sr. Scott Miller.

They remind me of a band called Shoes who were together from 1976 - 1994.

Just discovered these guys because of their association with Michael Quercio of The Three O'Clock. Very intelligent lyrics and great tunes and hooks. What's not to like?

I love the slightly left-field melody chord changes Scott used in his music. It's like you know it's a pop song, but there's something definitely strange and chaotic happening under the surface.

There is no "May" about it (crashing into June.) He was my favorite part of the 80's. He gave me a free CD once. I bought a Russian LP of Distortion. He is my hero. He taught me about music. Now I know about life.

R.I.P Mr. Scott Miller. Thanks for playing Rosy Overdrive and Baby Hard to Be Around for me that night in Austin,Texas. It hurts to think that we won't get anymore new music from you. Love you buddy. Thanks for the great songs.

Sampling their songs for the first time, I think I tend to agree. Haven't heard a song yet that doesn't seem have a transcendent pop magic.

Two years later... that's 2 of us. I'm here because AC Newman tweets this group was huge influence to him. Sadly, the occasion was Scott's passing. Never heard of him before that. Intoxicating pop melodies..

Subscribing to Spotify makes it hard to justify buying the things it doesn't have, because it may yet have them at any point. I'm going through a Scott Miller phase, and they've only got the later *Loud Family* albums: no *Game Theory*.
