It's interesting because "The Battle Hymn" is a re-write of the song "John Brown's Body." To answer your question: In 150 years, when all of our music's in the public domain, if artists are rewriting our songs to tell their own stories, that would be the most wonderful thing I could imagine as a songwriter. FUTURITY doesn't attempt to retell the past with fidelity it uses the past to tell a contemporary story about imagination. Thanks for your comment though. It's a great question. César Alvarez

Hey, The Lisps, how would like it if someone changed the lyrics to one of your songs? Julia Ward Howe's "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" was written as "His truth is marching on," not "the truth is marching on.
