@ManiaKattaK If you think it's about necrophilia, then the second verse applies as well, still talking about the "bone": "I'm going to dig a deep hole and crack open this bone...." Or it could just be an innocent metaphor for something, who knows :)

@ManiaKattaK Well the way I always interpreted it is that he's talking about *metaphorically* digging up his loved one to find something, a part of her -- hence the bone, part of her dead body -- that he can keep as a memory. I think that would be coherent with the line about saving it all on photographs.

this is a beautiful song indeed, i sometimes go to sleep with this on, but isn't the first verse about necrophilia? don't get me wrong, the song is awesome, but the thing about getting a bone where his love lies beneath the leaves is a little strange. or maybe im just insanely misguided. <3 <3 for the song anyway
