Okay so I just listened to this song and once I got a hang of the meaning I started crying because this stuff actually hits me in a soft spot.To me, it sounds like the song is about reincarnation and purgatory. The person had all of their friends, family, all of their loved ones die. By the time they themselves die and they enter the after-life, all of their friends have moved on. "The frozen pines don't die or grow" is what I believe to be a metaphor for purgatory. You aren't alive or dead, but in this stasis where nothing changes. The spirit is scared of moving on because they don't want to give up all of their memories of their loved ones, but they're extremely lonely because they're the only one left. "I will be waiting for you on the other side of the frozen pines. I'm gonna find a way through there's another life beyond the line." I think in this song, you cross the line of frozen pines to enter your next life.

Just noticed how "The Yawning Grave" leads into "Frozen Pines". I had to listen a few times before I realized. Those two are my favorite songs that are joined together, and also "Love Like Ghosts" and "Meet Me In The Woods".
