John,I love this song. My beautiful ex wife is moving into the late stages. Hard to express the depth of sorrow and loss that we who are the care givers carry with us because of  this cruel disease. Still there are moments of joy. Music seems to be the only thing that communicates these feelings in an unencumbered and real way. Thanks for the song.

Tears!!!  We lost my daddy to Alzheimer's in December of 1997.  NEVER in my life have I witnessed anything more heart-wrenching that watching my daddy... an intelligent (genius to be true), funny, witty, adventurous, talented, hard-working and loving man... deteriorate like that.  What I wouldn't have given for him to remember my name... as I sat on his bed, holding his hand as he took his last breath.  I had more than 7 years to mourn the loss of the man he was... but it started all over again that day!  :'(  Oh, how I miss my daddy!!!  This is such a beautiful song, John!  Thank you so much!!!!

What a beautiful and amazing song.  Thank you for posting this.  I am in the process of obtaining it from the Moore Center online right now.  I saw your song on Faithtap.com  It really touched me.  I am passing it along to a friend of mine that works at a senior living facility with an Alzheimer's unit.  God Bless You.  You are a very talented man.

My grandmother had dementia. She was a wonderful person and her passion was sewing. She would make the most amazing costumes just for us. She really wanted to be the one to teach me how to sew, but dementia robbed her of that chance, and I had to to take classes to learn. As it got worse, she wasn't even able to enjoy seeing all the projects I did because it was hard for her to even remember me. We lost her in 2008, but I like to imagine her standing next to me and smiling when I use her sewing machine.

Proof that not all great songs are those that you hear blaring out over and over on the radio.
