Lead off track on the 3rd LP of the four LP's by Detroit band. This is a somewhat different lineup than the band that made the first two Frigid Pink LP's. The vocalist and lead guitarist had quit the band. They were replaced on this LP and the keyboardist who had been a guest on the first two LP's was made a permanent member. All improvements in my opinion. There was still to be a different vocalist and a change in the bass player when the 4th LP was made in 1975.

I like some songs from the first two Frijid Pink albums, since I was listening to them in order Earth Omen was next. I noticed two things number one a new lead singer and after reading all these comments below. Jon Wearing was his name im sorry to hear he is no longer with us. He had a great voice, reminds me a bit of Steve Walsh of Kansas. Second great thing about this album is the addition of a Hammond B3 organ I love the intro to this song. Train Woman is another great tune from this album.

Now let's get it understood, because there is a vast misunderstanding between the three of us. Jon Wearing wasn't a coward. I didn't mean you to think I meant him personally. I just meant the act by a lot of people is done without thinking and out of complete desperation. He wasn't desperate and sadly he was thinking. He wasn't well. It was a horrible loss for all of us. You lost a family member, I lost a great friend, and we all lost a very talented and gifted singer/writer. I hope this clears things up? My heart is with you for your loss and suffering.

Mr Mitchner by saying my brother killed himself on any form of communication whether written,on video,or in company with or associated with an organization, blog or website is a fraudulent statement/claim.Any damage to Jon's reputation or emotional damages to family members is also a act of slander, plagiarism which is as I understand it ... illegal ..

If you ever send me another rude comment on Youtube or on my channel I will make your life hell. Your father was a much better person than you- a great man, a great singer, and a terrible loss. If this is Jon Wearing JNR who posted this bullshit I'm serious you should be dead and you should fuck off and stay away from me.

Thank you so much. I still can't come to terms with the loss of your beloved father and a friend who killed himself in high school. It is so heartbreaking when someone you love dies before their time. I'm fine now, but we can all have black periods. You have to get help then or you may get so desperate you either die or end up in a very black place. I found out Jon was dead on what would have been his birthday which made it even more tragic. Really awful. And he was such a great talent and man.

Good luck sir. I wish you the best. And if you are in fact writing a book, I would love to read it. I fear that you know more of my father's memories of being in the music scene than I do. He was my hero.

Ben, I appreciate you responding. I Just get very defensive when it comes to my father's death. I can understand that you are hurt, its taken me years to truly accept his passing. It is heavy load to shoulder. But It is VERY important to forgive your friends, and understand that they didn't want to hurt you. They were in a dark place. I think that it is only natural for people to challenge their self worth, unfortunately sometimes they don't speak up or get help. Ben, please get help.....

You're right. I'm very sorry. I loved your father and he was one of my best friends. I apologize, but I wasn't singling him out. I actually suffer from a lot of suicidal thoughts and have been in much horrendous pain for the last two weeks and have lost all my friends in UK. So if you'd like me to delete my comment or rephrase it feel free to let me know so I will do so. Much love, ben

My Father was far from a coward, but you would know nothing about it. It is beyond disrespectful to air my family business in a public forum, especially when you have no real knowledge of the circumstances. My father deserves to be known for his great musical talent, and being an amazing family man. NOTHING LESS! Consider other peoples feelings. Feel free to contact me if you wish to know the Truth/Facts. I am confident you will figure out how to do so, since you knew my dad "very well".

Benjamin, I spoke with my father many times about your phone conversations with you (if you are in fact who I think you are). He enjoyed the conversations that he had with you. He told me that you were possibly writing a book. First and foremost, I would love to know who told you the manner of my father's passing? Next I would like to express to you how aggravating your comment of his passing being "cowardly" is. My father deserves better from a "Friend".

I knew the singer- Jon Wearing very well over the phone for many years. He had serious health issues and killed himself in 2009. I still think suicide is a very cowardly and foolish act. And tragic after losing two good friends to it, but this is a really good song. He had a great voice- much better than Kelly Green who didn't have as much of a range.
