It's been 3 and a half years since I first heard frabbit (recommended by Simon Neil) and they are still one of my faves. I love how all the tracks on this records give an impression of winter and darkness

I love that intro. the building distortion and layering until you reach that crescendo and then the transition straight into the sweet sounds in/surrounding that first verse.

Tried We Were Promised Jetpacks. As I recall, I couldn't really get into them.

@VideoMenu "I feel like I forgot all about music until I heard FR." - totally how I felt too! Heard this album and it was like a breath of fresh air.

By the way, I first hear them on a very late night interview on NPR a year ago. I drove straight to Best Buy the next night on my way home from work and was surprised they didn't carry it. The young music guy never heard of them. They have FR now, even one of those name cards to make a slot for them on the shelves.

I'm one of those people who "grew out of" liking new music. I only bought 2 CDs in 8yrs & 1 was Bjork--not new, but always good. Then I heard Frightened Rabbit. I feel youthful & excited for a band again. Their music is an extension of a type of music I enjoyed in my own youth (not that I'm OLD, old). I went to that site jango & put their name in the playlist feature & I get all sorts of bands that play their genre. I feel like I forgot all about music until I heard FR. Maudlin, but true.

@BlankAvenueBass Pretty soon that won't be as underground. They signed with Atlantic records and are touring with Death Cab. I got to see them last year here in Philly at the Starlight Ballroom. Best show I've ever been to.

I love finding music that is underground enough that the only people listening to it are the people who want to hear it.
