obviously this comment wont be seen because all these comments are from 4, 5 & 6 years ago, but I just gotta say that I had the privilege to see Mr. Freddie King in Gainesville FL around '75 or so in a VERY small club; up close and personal and I am impressed til this day! It was like every note was drenched with feeling! Rarely find that much personal input into music anymore.

Yeah that suite's as cool as it gets. I've had this whole show on VHS for many years and this video was the one that inspired me to start playing solos behind my head. I still get goose bumps when I see this video. Freddy King was a the ultimate guitar slinger.

If anybody makes me feel like packing on a few stone, growing a fine set of burns and wearing a pastel safari suit - it's Freddie King.

Austin, Texas singer/guitarist Gary Clark Jr is really amazing. He's amazingly good and just as authentic as you could want Search for these video numbers on Youtube (: Here's him performing at Clapton's 2010 Crossroads Fest: x_ZeDn-hHGE iC0P0z-WMDw SQa-i1FePJw RyFs13mMtPo fyBem5-Bfpg

Is there anywhere in the world today where I can go listen to this caliber of African American musician playing this style of music? I would seriously appreciate any input.

This guy was the definition of "the real deal", Superlative guitarist, singer, and entertainer. I thank God I was lucky enough to see him perform a few times at the Cabooze in Minneapolis many years ago,

He used to play the Vulcan Gas Co in Austin and Johnny Winter opened a ton of shows. There used to be an incredible painting of him at the Armadillo. Unique talent and the nicest guy in the world.

Anybody that dislikes any Freddie King can go stand in the corner and think about that small, lonely corner of HELL waitng for them at the end of their short sad journey above ground... Luv, BluzKat

A great version of James "Beale Street" Clark from an underrated genius: Freddie "The Texas Cannonball" King. In my humble opinion, of the Three Kings - Albert, B. B. - the most superlative is Freddie.
