Wow. Freda rocked this performance vocally and visually. Love the hot moves. You can tell how musical she is groovin' with that live band and on point rhythmically and with perfect intonation. Freda is marvelous but the lyrics of the song have always seemed nonsensical to me. Why did new husband sleep in a separate room on the night of their honeymoon? Why did he abandon her? Seems more likely he'd have been a no-show at the altar. Lyrics don't have to make sense, but even so... .
