My mother's FL favorite song! The female chorus impersoning the howling murmur of the wind adds more wilderness to the song. Thanks a million for posting!

Marina mine, set me free Free from black gold Our love never can be. Once we lived in a shack Drilled for oil, precious black gold And this girl loved me back Loved me more, more than black gold. I was caught in her web Just like the spider captures the fly And I knew, what is more, I must leave, leave her or die. Marina mine, set me free, Free from black gold Blowing wild, blowing wild.

@anthonyhollis1 It wasn't much of a movie, but I think Frankie's recording and the Sound Track in the movie made it a money making movie.

@HallelujahForEver Your Welcome, This was Frankie's first movie western theme song from the movies. Most people think it was "High Noon" but that was Tex Ritter in the Movie, Frankie just had the hit record.

Thank you Mark for this great entry plus all the nice photos. This renditionof Frakie just shows what a wonderful voice he had and how he could project just the right emotion intyo the song. Ive just watched the film on TV this week and the music by Demitri Tomkin just made the film. Frankie and |I used to write to each other. He was a great person. Thanks again. Pete 'Kiwi'Keegan

The song does not exactly have a memorable--or readilyy identifiable --melody. But Frankie's recording was probably very dramatic and gripping in a dark movie theater!
