the 2nd tune is known as the 'Durham Rangers' in England -.not sure if it originated in Ireland or England

Great stuff. Thank you very much for posting this. I remember hearing Frankie and Mairead play these two fine tunes at Glasgow Folk Festival in 1984 [ 30 years ago ! ]. The first tune is not so well known, but has recently been recorded by Harry Bradley, whose source was Mairead's father, Francie.
