Green hocker croakin'

In the Pygmy Twylyte

Crankin' an' a-coke'n

In the Winchell's do-nut Midnite

Out of his deep on a 'fore day run

Hurtin' for sleep in the Quaalude Moonlight

Green hocker in a Greyhound locker

Smokin' in the Pygmy Twylyte

Joined the bus on the 33rd seat

By the doo-doo room with the reek replete

Crystal eye, crystal eye

Got a crystal kidney & he's fraid to die

In the Pygmy Twylyte

Downer midnite

Pygmy Twylyte

Downer midnite

Pygmy Twylyte

Downer midnite

Pygmy Twylyte

Downer midnite

This song is surely about all the dope feinds high on weasel dust, from Zappas former occupation.Frank Zappa, - real name "Mario Fuente", is a former 'weasel dust' industry king pin who had his employee 'Rueben Reydolfo' broker deals from his yacht off-shore near Miami. Also involved was the late 'Jesus Maroto', and Zappa (Fuente) himself narrowly avoided death during occasional brushes with the law.

If you like this then you'll LOVE "You Can't Do That on Stage Anymore, Vol. 2" -- The Helsinki Concert 1974 -- same band late in their fall tour.... Pygmy Twylyte, RDNZL, Inca Roads, Village of the Sun etc. FANTASTIC MUST HAVE double cd for FZ heads everywhere! The Pygmy Twylyte is insanely tight. Trust me. ARF!

They didn't take drugs on tour no. But Frank has said if they wanted to spend their money/time not on tour or recording doing drugs they could do what they wanted.

This album is one of my Zappa favorites. From start to finish is it just rip roaring genius extraordinaire. Perfection.

I'm guessing because he talks about downers, quaaludes, and some strange twilight.. Well, what about Dummy Up? Cocaine Decisions? Any Downers? Zappa frequently wrote lyrics about drugs, but that doesn't mean he used them... Also, some of his band members reportedly did use soft drugs, like weed.

Why does it have to do with drungs? Just because its freaky deaky and not normal... Zappa never took drugs and nor did his bands... you couldn't do what they did musically if you were ripped...
