May 2015, an article in a newspaper describing the rising amount of people using food banks reminded me of this song. And not just in America, it's happening everywhere , in the UK, in Spain, Italy, well, the list goes on and on.

I love the live versions of this song from the sixties (Particularly the 1967 ann arbor and 1968 L'olympia performances), the Horn accompaniment played in place of the "They won't go for no more" section is just so fucking tasty!

Come dicevo nel precedente post su Dylan,.. Freak Out!

H.U.D., all the other failed government projects that put this nation in ever-increasing debt, gross materialism, stuff that distracts us from being independent thinkers - - Zappa and company gave us this cautionary tune back in 1966. Too bad we didn't heed it. Frank Zappa (RIP)

Still innovative as hell. I bought this album when it debuted in 1966. Up to that point in time, I was a Top Forty robot. Still great musicianship. Still has a lot to say.
