it's not about your choice of language. picking on your choice of language would be me judging your syntax. he didn't 'dabble' in drugs. dabbling in drugs would be trying it every now and then, not to get by. anyways, this conversation has gone to unnecessary detail. I just don't see what a couple hundred other people see in his music. sorry mang

Junkie implies addict shooting them up every night. Dabbled is occasional use. You really are petty if you have to pick on my choice of language to win an argument.

Not really, yes he dabbled in drugs but that wasn't why he was homeless. He was shunned by his family for years for not using his degree from LSE and following his dream instead. He was bankrupt and pursued his dream. I admire what he did and he inspired me to take up guitar something that has changed my life. Claim luck all you want, but the impact he has on his fan's lives is considerable.

Fame of his old band? GTFO. Million Dead were not famous, nowhere near the size Frank is. And it isn't that hard to get a gig, I know. But he was a starving musician who had to sleep on trains for years to reach where he is. When you re-write the musical rule book, headline Wembley or the O2 and open the biggest show on Earth then you can talk. Also, yes I have been on stage-I'm in a band (not this channel one though, we broke up years ago)

Have you ever been on stage? you act like it's fuckin' hard to play a show or get a gig. I'm sorry but there's nothing new in his solo music. It's generic folk crap. congratulations Frank Turner, you're in a comfort zone. He's basically just rewriting music that's already been written. There's no blood, sweat, and tears. He's piggy back riding on the fame of his old band

To grung cunt don't comment on songs or artists you know nothing about, frank turner started from nothing and built up a song base and audience. It took him years and years of hard graft so go back to your X factor muppets

Lucky? About 1000 gigs slaving away and putting his all in isn't getting lucky. He deserved to get the Olympics Opening Ceremony and selling out Wembley Arena. It wasn't luck, it was a lot of blood, sweat and tears. You have no clue what you are talking about.

I find it amusing that some people think that record labels only sign certain styles of music. Yes, epitaph started out as a punk label, but they are free to sign anyone they think would sell records. One example I love is Razor & Tie, who has bands like Hatebreed and Defiler under contract, and also puts out the Kidz Bop series.

One the first lyric I hear from a song is "I drink cuz I'm thirsty," I have to stop and warn people that this is my first listen and I will now commence my harsh criticism of said song.
