Nonsense. Frank Black can still sing and much of his work after the Pixies is just as strong or better. He has had many manybrilliant records since. "Teenager of The Year" is arguably the best rock album of the 90s.

Sounds like Mr. Frank Black Francis threw his voice out sometime in the mid nineties. He can't seem to hit the squeals and screams here like he could in earlier concerts. Maybe it was toward the end of the tour. Or maybe it was just aging.

Teenager of the Year is an incredible record, but it was fairly overproduced. That's why all the songs can never sound as "good" live as they did on the record.
