I think you're right, but I also say that Frank's solo material (while not the pixies) is still more than good enough. A lot of people didn't find the Pixies til loooong after they broke up and I think (unfortunately) the same will happen with Frank's best solo material.

@MrSloika really... I saw them in 89, kim talked, frank kept his mouth shut. I was 15 and utterly mesmerised by him.

There's a lot of Kim hate here, and it's probably all deserved, but fact is that Thompson never managed to replicate even a small part of his Pixies fame with his solo career. He's a fantastic song writer, but he hasn't got a lot of on stage charisma. It's also a fact that the Pixies aren't the Pixies without Kim, and she can barely function now as it is. You won't see any new Pixies because Kim can't do it even if she wanted to.

the pixies should go on without kim, she's better off with her own bands anyway,they have a grown apart, it seems joey and charles collaborate well, they should just go on ahead without kim.
