Took her clothes off to get attention, was rejected by the NEA, committed suicide to get more attention, now has occasional shows. Reminds me of the Bugs Bunny cartoon in which Bugs and Daffy continually 'one-up" each other until Daffy blows himself up to thunderous applause.

You might be right, but I think not, really. Such a great artistic and pure spiritual greatness, as she was, could have all too easily fall so badly because, simply, she was her art and thus, her parents, and thus others were not there with her. Ever. Add the insidious mind fuck of psycho active medication and that singularity that she embodied was left so without, she could only match that by death. She was too good.
