This was one of my least favourite of her songs from the preview show, despite a beautiful voice the recorded backing arrangement and singers are very weak. Plus she's acting like Kate Bush on acid!!! Thank God they changed it for the final, a much more powerful and memorable performance than this.

I've always felt the same way. The Eurovision night arrangement was too heavy on base and too focused on the back singings. The organ accompaniment towards the end of this is outstanding, but fell outside of the EBU's contest rules that all instruments have to be represented on stage, hence why it wasn't on the final arrangement. A terrible shame.

@aatox The BBC broadcast a set of national final previews on the Sundays prior to the actual final - all eight songs recorded on the same set, without an audience - and that's what this is taken from. Seems like a lot of effort really, but there you go!

When was this broadcast? I've seen a different clip from the same set with Frances in black clothes and also featuring backing singers. That was also the Eurovision preview clip that year. Never seen this before, although it was really nice to see her cheerfully jumping around! :)
