The Killers version isn't much better. It's kind of corny and I generally enjoy The Killers music :x  maybe my tainted taste in enjoying the original and learning to overcome Conor's Oberst annoying voice by repeat listening and enjoying the song's writting did I learn to love this song and his other songs (with good storytelling).  I sound really hipster and I actually really despise them, this is just love of music in all forms in general. Maybe in time I can also learn to enjoy The Killers depiction.  :3

Conor > The Killers. That is a fact. But The Killers are still great. They were probably sitting around listening to Bright Eyes awesomeness and were like "This song is the shit!!" And then re-made it because they liked it so much. Conor remade a lot of songs. Does that mean he's an asshole and has ruined those songs completely? Noooo... It means that he likes the song therefore, he sings it.

Oh my god, I am Conor Oberst's biggest fan. And stop fucking saying he is folk and country. This is really pisssing me off. Like alot. This song is absolutly fucking gorgeous.
