Hey, 19 people wanted to see him playing a drunk .I say to the other person who thought he sang off key; go back to listening to your rap and grunge please.

Very nice voice. Multi-talented man was Foster Brooks. I remember my dad and I watching him on tv when i was a young teen, he would crack my dad up, and i would crack up watching my dad crack up, great times thanks to Foster Brooks.

I saw him at a USO show in Okinawa in 83' he did his drunk schtic for over an hour then he got very serious and his wife came out and played the piano for him he sang this song plus a old hymn. Everybody was in shock we never knew.

Foster was certainly a better comedian (actually, a fabulous one) than he was a singer, but his singing wasn't bad. A little too formal and in the old fashioned, pre-microphone music hall style. And, yes, the vibrato is a bit too pronounced.

all of the "drunk" evidently went straight into his excessive vibrato ;p

They still make them like this, just that people nowadays are so easily entertained you could put anybody up there and people would buy it as talent.Foster Brooks and others had talent and didn't need to resort to shock value.

these types of performers were entertainers, through and through, not like these wannabes in todays market, they are either a singer, or an actor, or dancer, musician, they aren't the whole package like a lot of them were back in the heydays of hollywood, gone but not forgotten

WOW, I just found this clip. I had no clue he was also a singer. I just loved his "intoxicated" humor. He sure can sing.
