One of the most iconic rock singers & writers + Guitar hooks that stand the test of time! Who has not played a Fogerty lick?

Same lyrics but the that's all they have in common. Each to their own

I appreciate that this is the original song from John Forgerty and if it wasn't for him, Wyclef couldn't done his, but Wyclef's version is alot better.

Aronoff is certainly a fine drummer (even if I forget that he used to play with Mellenhead) but he's one of those "hey, look how hard I'm working" bangers. Not cool at all.

This song is just as important today as the day it was written. Different wars, but George "W" Bush was remotely involved in both. Their was first Vietnam where him, and Dan Quayle were both given cushy positions in the National Guard to avoid the draft, and then it was the 2nd Gulf war where once again he watched others send their sons off to war. I just can't listen to this song without shouting out F U George Bush !! John Fogerty has written lots of good songs, but this 1 is in Video Games!

Now this would be great to hear in an ACDC version - I'm just imagining Bon Scott singing and Phil Rudd on the drums Angus and Malcolm doing their thing ...

@emamdom Sure, but none plays CCR songs in the original way like Doug Clifford, same with Stu Cook, none plays CCR songs on bass in the original way like him, also with John (not with vocals, but the lyrics are actually correct) at lead guitar! :D

@PitbuyllGamingHounds John Fogerty was the lead singer of Creedence Clearwater.... John originally sang this song, and still does.

But still ... I think Jagger was sneaking around the place where CCR jammed and stole the rhythm ... Later CCR came with Fortunate Son!

Why do i get a feeling that this song kinda gave Mick Jagger the concept or rather the rhythm for "Sympathy for the devil" !!!

Some asshole music executive didn't like Fogerty's anti war songs.
