After thinking about it for about 50 years, I've decided this is maybe my favorite song.

Who played lead guitar on the original Charley Ryan and Livingston Bros version? ronda2 says it was her father, but didn't name him. How about a photo please ronda? Oh, what about the next version backed by the Timberline Riders, who played the lead guitar? Was it the same line-up with a new name? Rock-on!

I remember this song from "back in the day." Tremendous melody and lyrics. I've been listening to as many versions of this song as I could find on YouTube, and for whatever reason everybody else says "its got 8 cylinders and uses 'em all." This is the only version I could find that says "its got 12 cylinders and uses 'em all." The car definitely has a Lincoln flathead V12. I had my hands on the fenders and engine down at the Barrett-Jackson auction.

Car was sold @ Barrrett-Jackson auction in January, 2013. If you go to their website and look under Scottsdale 2013, lot # 7006 they have several large pics of the car. It had a 1941 Lincoln Zephyr sedan frame, shortened 24", with 1930 Ford Model A coupe body. Titled as a 1930 Ford. Built in 1949. I will try to upload 4 pics of the car. If upload is unsuccessful, go to B-J website for pics. Sale price plus buyers fee was $106,700.
