Great song by a great band at a great time in music history. No fake singing you either had the talent or you didn't.

all 3 of the popular covers that MMEB did of bruce's were better than his versions IMO. i really don't care for bruce's versions of for you, blinded by the lights or spirits in the night.

I love this. Now if I can just find the full length album version of this song...all there is is the single version.

THIS SONG ROCKS! - Bruce's version is so melancholy as to introduce comma.

@Schmuggugu Meh, this is SO superior to the Boss' version.

@johnlivia6061 Oh, I disagree. Check out Springsteen's solo acoustic version, and the version in 1975 at the Hammersmith Odeon is a good example. It has *so* much more emotion than this. @kaufman6061 Nope, the song is taken from the album, "Greetings from Asbury Park, NY," Bruce Springsteen's first album, released in January, 1973. Mann et al had a number one hit with Springsteen's, Blinded by the Light from the same album. Bruce appreciates the royalties, by the way.

Love the song. But where were Mick Rogers at the time? I never realized Chris Thompson could play the guitar like that. :-)
