Is this song about The Cramps? Thats what I've heard, I've just discovered The Gun Club through a White Stripes cover of this song, and someone in the comments of that video said it was. But I'm glad i discovered these guys :)

Sigh, kids today: The song is both a parody of a famous, ground-breaking movie of the same name in combination with redneck cultural mores from a bygone day and yes, a search for some good skag.

i could never imagine any connection between those 2 some decades ago. Gun Club is more than a band.

I think this song is about a guy who loves a woman who cheated on him with a black man, or men, and while trying to find the culprit...decides to kill her instead.

Racist or not it's an awesome song...if you are offended by it, DON'T FUCKING LISTEN!

It's called writing and character development . . I'm not coming to the rescue of anyone . Pretending racial issues don't exist is no cure for what's happened in America's past. By the way, racism and slavery have been going on since the dawn of mankind it's not just whites. Get a hobby. I suggest reading a book.

This song is either about a KKK renegade or a guy trying to get score smack and get high.

him consciously using that slur in whatever context is still racist, you can't really sugarcoat that. While JLP may or may not have been racist himself, is irrelevant. I love how everyone always comes the rescue of white people using racial slurs, it's really encouraging.
