"The Longest Time", a doo-wop single by Billy Joel, was released in 1984 on the album "An Innocent Man". The song got to number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. This version was recorded with one mic and a MAC laptop in the basement of our house in one afternoon. The individual tracks were recorded and mixed. Then the group sang live to the mix and that was added over the top to give a broader and looser "live" feel to the recording.
