Who did he dedicate the song to?

"With every album, if I ever sing a song about losing someone or death, most people really just sort of assume that it's about Kurt. And I have wonderful memories of Kurt... and it's heartbreaking still, what happened. But unfortunately, it's happened to me more than once in my life... the idea (of the song) is really more that you don't think about the specific person or who it's about. It's just about what it's about." - Dave Grohl Applies to every Foo song.

@elocrellim If you would watch some of Dave Grohl's interviews on YouTube, he cleared things about the "Kurt Cobain dedication" thing going on whenever some fans would speculate that Dave wrote this song for Kurt, Dave wrote that song for Kurt, and all that. Dave is definitely heartbroken after Kurt died, and I believe he still misses him. But it doesn't mean he will write every song about Kurt.

@elocrellim No-where did I bad mouth Grohl. Just simply saying the obvious that Grohl has said himself - not everything he does is about Kurt or for Kurt, Grohl has his own life, sure he's said numerous times if it wasn't for Nirvana he wouldn't be where he is, that Nirvana had a huge impact on his life. You said " he has every reason to dedicate a song, to Kurt. " Sure, a song. I said, " everything. " as some expect him to do, Grohl has had other things go on in his life besides Kurt.

@Methstories Why wouldn't he, Dave and Kurt were really close friends. Dave was truly depressed when Kurt died, and it's influenced his writing immensely. Dave owes everything to Kurt, without Nirvana Dave would just be some washed up old Drummer who played in Scream in the 80's. Dave has every reason to dedicate a song to Kurt, and he has the moral fortitude to do so. They were bros, and a bond like that doesn't just go away when somebody dies. Don't badmouth Dave Grohl ever again. Understand.
