@SupernalOne Chronic Depression and situation based are very different things, one is due to very specific problems and can be got rid of through help, the other can hit you when everything is going perfectly and for absolutely no reason, leaving you crippled. I cant think of a much better form of constructive achievement to bolster ones ego, identify ones faults and help lift yourself out of depression without anyone else carrying you then devoting your life to music.

@tomgibo well, not to be heard-hearted - I've been depressed myself, though it was more situational than chronic -- the only way out is up, i.e., positive ideation; a list of constructive achievements to attain, one by one, to bolster the ego; forgiving oneself of one's faults while conceiving of new behavior to correct them; anti-depressents work for a while, but in the end one has to rely on oneself, to find the strength to be one's own parent, advisor, friend - no one else can carry us

@SupernalOne That's totally how depression works. You should go be a councillor, sort out everyone's problems in moments. People with depression choose to become trapped in a condition where they cannot enjoy life, feel trapped, scared, delusional, constantly exhausted, afraid and completely alone and unable to find a way out. Seriously, I lose my faith in humanity.
