Flag of Democracy is a first generation hardcore punk band. The band originated in Ambler, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia in 1982, and are more commonly known by the abbreviation "F.O.D". The band has shared the stage with Minor Threat, Agnostic Front, and thousands of other bands, and has been referenced by fellow Philadelphia-area rock group the Dead Milkmen in the songs Nutrition and Milkmen Stomp. Recently Flag of Democracy has toured with such Japanese hardcore bands such as Mind of Asian, and the band is still actively performing in and around Philadelphia today.
