A frightened virgin teenage girl

Receives a message that defies the laws of this world

All she can do is weep and nod

She's to bring into this world the Son of God

God's angels sound their trumpets

And blow their horns

Tonight the long awaited savior is to be born

The goodness bound by Satan it has been torn

With this baby's precious brow ready for thorns

A star appears fufilling ancient prophecy

There's an ounce of fear as wise men follow faithfully

The Virgin Mary brings forth the human savior

And this future king sleeps soundly in the manger

Soundly in the manger

God's angels sound their trumpets

And blow their horns

Tonight the long awaited savior is to be born

The goodness bound by Satan it has been torn

With this baby's precious brow ready for thorns

Tonight He is born so one day He can die

To heal hearts that are torn and live the perfect life

So He hang upon a cross and we can take His life

So we can live as sinners

And He can pay the price

Tonight He is born so one day he can die

But He will rise again

God's angels sound their trumpets

And blow their horns

Tonight the long awaited savior is to be born

The goodness bound by Satan it has been torn

With this baby's precious brow ready for thorns

Ready for thorns..

So many bands make covers of Christmas songs. It really is refreshing to see an original one by such a modern band, and even though I am not religious, this is a beautiful song. As a matter of fact, I find that the religious Christmas songs are the loveliest.

I've updated the download link since it was taken down. I normally don't condone pirating, but there really is no way to buy this song as far as I know. Enjoy! :)

It's like the three branches of Christianity: Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant. They're all one faith, but at the same time they're distinct. Father, Son, & Spirit are one God in three persons, same in essence, origin, purpose, etc., but each distinct. The same, yet different. It's a mystery we as humans can't entirely comprehend or even begin to understrand

Sending Jesus to earth as an example of proper living is more a Pelagian way to think, it implies that we can attain a divine life if we try. Jesus' life was meant to show the Gospel (freeing us from sin) instead of the Law (condemnation for sin) which can be seen as far back as Genesis. He came to free us from sin, death and the power of the devil through love and devotion to God and consequently to one another. "Living properly" is just a side effect from this. James 2:17

It is more complex but with this much space I'll try to explain. While God is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, not one of them is the same. I take Spinoza's Principles of Cartesian Philosophy as a starting point for my thought on the subject. Two absolutes can not simultaneously exist. If one was created separate then it would immediately be brought into the same being as both encompass reality. Though, if one can be begotten separately then it can represent a different aspect of the absolute.

I thought that Jesus, God and the holy spirit was them same person, God. He sent Jesus to earth so Jesus could teach others "how to live properly" is that it ?
